Hi, I’m Dr. Alex Dragan.

01
A big part of why I ended up in healthcare came from my own experience of not always feeling good in my body growing up. I know what it’s like to want answers, to try to understand what’s going on, and to wish someone could help connect the dots.
That curiosity turned into a career, but it’s also still very much part of who I am. I genuinely love learning. I’m usually taking a course, reading something new, or finding another area of medicine I want to understand better. I’ve completed countless hours of continuing education because I want the care I offer my patients to keep evolving as the evidence does.
WHY I DO THIS
02
WOMEN’S HEALTH
I especially love working with women who are ready for change. Women who know they want to feel different, stronger, more like themselves again, but need some guidance figuring out what to do next and how to actually put those changes into practice.
I’m a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, which means I stay up to date on current approaches to perimenopause and menopause care. I also insert, remove, and replace IUDs and Nexplanon, and I continue to build my skills in ultrasound so I can offer more pelvic assessment and imaging directly in the clinic.
03
TEACHING
Teaching is another big part of my life. I’m a contracted faculty member at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, where I teach future naturopathic doctors about diagnosis and clinical thinking. I love getting to be both a clinician and an educator because, for me, understanding the “why” behind something matters just as much as knowing what to do about it.
04
AND I REALLY LOVE PLANTS
When I’m not in clinic, teaching, or learning something new, you’ll often find me making herbal medicines, wandering around looking at plants, running herb walks, or hosting herbal workshops. It’s one of the ways I stay connected to the roots of naturopathic medicine and to something that feels a little slower, more creative, and hands-on.
“At the end of the day, I want women to leave my care understanding their bodies a little better, feeling more confident in their choices, and knowing they have options.”
